Patten Bay Chalet is a custom designed Lindal cedar home in a secluded neighborhood with only 5 other homes on the shores of Patten Bay in Surry, Maine. With easy access to Acadia and the Blue Hill/Deer Isle peninsula, Patten Bay Chalet is located at the crossroads of Downeast Maine, making it your ideal spot for a week or a month's vacation rental on the rocky coast of Maine.

Together we have a combined 50 years living in Maine. Between the two of us we've raised five kids and as many dogs in the Acadia region. We've hiked, swam, fished, camped, and explored Downeast Maine at every chance. We are excited about the possibility of sharing our love for the house, the town, and the region with our guests.
Garden Level Remodeling completed!
Starting in January when our contractor pulled out the the flooring on the entire garden level of the house, Patten Bay Chalet has undergone major surgery. New red oak floors, new trip, refinished windows casings, New paint on the walls, new light blocking window treatments, new rugs, new window in the bedroom, and new automatic de-humidification backup for those days that come every once and a while during the summer. The comfort and usability of the house has gone up significantly!

... is your ideal summer vacation retreat. The chalet is a 2100 square foot four bedroom 2 & 3/4 bath house with living room with soaring windows and a floor to ceiling fireplace, dining, and sun room, on the first floor, all with a fantastic view out over Patten Bay. The neighborhood's private beach is a 200 yard walk from the bottom of the property where you can launch your kayak, swim, or just relax on the shore and listen to the quiet.
